Our Programs

Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our community faces, Delta Psi Sigma Foundation is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our campaigns and programs focused on education, youth and women. While our efforts are driven by our organization’s singular focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of local initiatives.

Royal Care Package

Our  purpose is to support first and second generation African American King County residents attending college away from home with 1 welcome letter and 3 customized care packages per year to include:

 

 *  1 welcome letter (w/ $15 gift card)

 *  Additional packages arriving during midterms/finals week

 

Cost of each package (including medium flat rate box shipping)  $50 ($35/products plus $15 shipping) Cost per Student: $165/year

The S.P.A.C.E. Mentoring

  • Self Esteem

  • Personal Development

  • Affirming our teens

  • Character & Leadership Development

  • Education centered around physical, mental, and financial wellness topics

​

Purpose:  To create a laid back, peaceful, safe, encouraging, judgment free, fun space for learning, growth, and development.  A space for conversation, a space to be heard, a space to be included, a space to breathe, and a space to reflect.  In this space we pause with an intentional focus on helping our young teen girls live their best & most beautiful lives.

Mtgs.: Monthly at Nelson Middle School

Target Ages:  12-14

Scholarships

​The Ashley Robinson Memorial Scholarship was formed in the summer of 2013 to commemorate the life of Ashley Michelle Robinson and to continue her legacy of excellence and generosity posthumously.

​

Currently Offering:

  • Centennial Scholarship - High school  seniors and college students

  • Ashley Robinson Scholarship - High school seniors

 

In Development (ETA - 2024):

  • Swim Lesson Scholarships

  • Educational Mini-Grants - Support K-12 teachers in their efforts to develop, improve or expand innovative instruction programs.

Annual Youth Symposium

The Youth Symposium is designed to empower youth in our community through hands-on, interactive leadership activities

Swim 1922

FREE 5-day swim lesson clinics to decrease the low proficiency swimming rates among King County's minority youth.

Operation Big Bookbag

This project Provide quick and easy access to reference materials and other studying aids and tools that will help students with educational endeavors.

Women's Wellness

The Women’s Wellness Initiative is a consolidated effort to focus on health issues that impact women; specifically, women of color.

Project Cradle Care

The goal of the project is to provide a wealth of information, resources, and tools for women of childbearing age to help ensure a healthy baby.

Community Walks/Runs

St Jude, March of Dimes, Beat the Bridge for Diabetes, and many more walks are completed each year to bring awareness.
