Education Mini Grant Program

This program reflects our commitment to fostering educational success and promoting student wellness in our local communities. We encourage eligible applicants to take advantage of this opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students.

The Seattle Alumnae chapter is proud to offer education mini grants to Educators, Nurses, and Support Staff. These grants are made possible through a collaboration with Good Health Wins and the National Council of Negro Women.

Who Can Apply? The mini-grant program is open to public elementary, middle, and high school Educators, Nurses, and Support Staff working in one of the following school districts:

  • Seattle

  • Renton

  • Kent

  • Federal Way

  • Tukwila

  • Highline

Program Goals The primary goal of the mini-grant program is to support local schools in the following ways:

  • Educators: Grants can be used to provide additional resources and support for students in the classroom, such as educational materials, tools, or special projects that enhance learning.

  • School Nurses: Grants are available to assist with clinic or office needs related to student health and wellness. This may include medical supplies, health education materials, or resources to promote student well-being.

  • Support Staff: Paraprofessionals, counselors, admissions staff, coaches, administrative advisors, and other support personnel may apply for grants if their proposed project directly benefits students in the classroom or through extracurricular activities.​​
